Born in Boston and a product of the Newton Public School system, I graduated with Honors from Stanford University in 2006 with a double-major in English and History. As a junior, I was selected to participate in Stanford's prestigious Overseas Studies Program at Oxford University, where I learned the craft of writing from some of Oxford's finest instructors.
After graduating from Stanford, I began teaching at Lydian Academy, an innovative private high school in Menlo Park, California that is renowned for its philosophy of customized, one-on-one instruction. My responsibilities included helping to develop the Humanities curriculum, teaching History and English AP courses, and directing its after-school tutoring program.
In addition to my work as an academic instructor, I am also a music educator and nationally recognzied musician. I've been a guest lecturer at Stanford's Continuing Studies in Jazz program, as well as a Faculty member of the Stanford Jazz Workshop. I've traveled across North America and Europe with several different musical projects and have had the privilege of performing at some of the finest venues in the world, including Lincoln Center, the San Francisco Jazz Center, and the Fillmore.
After working at Lydian, I founded Precision Academic Tutoring so that students across the country could benefit from the individualized, one-on-one instruction method I knew was so effective.
